Winter's in

A hush has fallen over the hills and the fields, as if the world is holding it's breath. The bare tree in the foreground, it's branches etched with snow stands as a silent witness to the Seasons quiet power. Soft pink walls and red- tiled roofs peek from beneath their frosted blankets, offering a sense of shelter and warmth against the cold. Beyond, the vineyards and the distant village are softened by a silvery mist., their colors muted, their edges muted by winter's touch. The sky is heavy with brooding clouds, hinting at snow yet to fall. There's a subtle melancholy here- a pause, a waiting, a sense of stories held close and dreams sleeping beneath the surface. In this painting I invite you to linger in the still need, to listen for the silence Of the snow, and to remember the comforts Of home on a winter's day.
