This painting is dedicated to them. Many continue to fight for recognition, acceptance, and respect in a world that often overlooks their humanity. What they long for is simple: to feel that they belong. You don’t have to fully understand or accept them, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to demean or demonize them. What God truly calls us to do regardless of gender or circumstance is to choose love and kindness above all. Even the late Pope Francis did not exclude the LGBTQ community. He welcomed them with compassion, recognizing that this is what God asks of us. This artwork represents the color and the complex realities and silent struggles faced by LGBTQ individuals, stories that often go unseen. To my LGBTQ friends, this is for you. I see you, I hear you, and I love you even when society might say otherwise.
