Artwork Description
MATERNITY
36.0 x 30.0 inches
Through this painting, I wanted to express that motherhood is not only about love and tenderness, but also about pain and sacrifice. It reflects the social pressure and distorted mindset imposed on women, a mother’s mental suffering, fear, and loneliness, and her tragic existence standing between life and death. The story of motherhood is not just flowers and smiles—it is also blood, broken bones, tears, and a shattered body. This work is a raw and uncompromising protest against the beautification of motherhood, revealing it as a space of suffering and erosion as much as care.
