Immortal Taoist accompanied by his vahana or riding animal — the Green Dragon. The Celestial Emperor holds a flask containing the elixir of life in his right hand. The theme of immortality is emphasised by the silvery full moon, which emits soma or amrita. This highly beneficial image bestows health, protection and a long lifespan. This relief painting was handcrafted using multiple layers of polymer clay on aluminium composite panel, baked for strength and durability, and finished with a passe-partout and wooden frame.
