Sri Lankan Bouquet

This bright, homemade bouquet of hanging lobster claw (Heliconia rostrata), limes, papayas and torch ginger (waxflower) captures the essence of an exotic, sunny tropical day and the natural lifestyle of Sri Lankans. The Torch Ginger plant produces ginger that can be harvested and used in cooking, while its flowers can be eaten raw after being chopped or served as a garnish. This still life was created using fresh fruit and flowers from a coconut plantation.
