The Shoemaker

This piece was created from a photo I took in San Marco Square in Venice, Italy. The shoemaker is oblivious to the people walking by and intently focused on the work he's creating. I used random printed textile patterns, to create the shoes, his garments and the surroundings within his booth, and used acrylic paint for his features and the solid background color, all on stretched canvas.
